      The VA Portland Health Care System Dental Service offers a general practice residency in dentistry program, which is approved by the American Dental Association's Commission on Dental Accreditation and affiliated with Oregon Health Sciences University.         Part 2 boards need not be completed prior to applying, but must be passed prior to starting residency. The same goes for the DDS/DMD degree.

        Department of Veterans Affairs General Practice Residency is only open to US Citizens who graduated from an ADA accredited dental school.

        Foreign citizens and those individuals who attended a non-ADA accredited school are not eligible for VA residency programs.
