St Barnabas Hospital is located in the Belmont section of the Bronx . The Department of Dentistry has a long history of providing dental postgraduate training including advanced programs in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics and dental anesthesia. St. Barnabas is a level one trauma center and serves a diverse patient population .The program provides a broad range of experiences in both clinical and didactic education. The St Barnabas GPR provides a comprenhensive resident experience including the oppurtunity for implant placement and restoration, laser dentistry, rotary endodontics, advanced exodontia and fixed/removeable prosthodontics. The clinics have computerized charting, record keeping and appointments and digital radiographs including pan/cephs and CBCT and scanning devices for impressioning. Each resident works with a dental assistant.
