The Great Lakes General Practice Residency (GPR) is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
The Jesse Brown VA Great Lakes General Practice Residency (GPR) is a one-year post-doctoral dental program that is a clinically focused comprehensive hospital general dentistry program, providing training at a level beyond that accomplished in pre-doctoral training. During the one year program, residents will be trained in all aspects of dentistry except pediatric dentistry and orthodontics, including operating room cases, and management of medically complex patients.
The objective of this Residency is to enhance the professional growth and development of individuals who truly desire to be exceptional primary dental health care doctors and are not satisfied with simple procedural mechanics. The residency is patient oriented and clinically focused.
