      This fellowship will offer additional, focused experience in Orthodontic research for those who desire more research experience for an academic career.  Typical clinical certificate training programs have limited time for research, and this fellowship will offer a concentrated experience in carrying out research as well as in related didactic areas.  The fellowship will last one year and will enroll no more than two qualified applicants at any time.  Each fellow will complete a research project and prepare a manuscript for publication.

        U.S./Canadian applicants must provide their undergraduate transcript(s) within the PASS application. Unofficial copies of undergraduate transcripts are accepted for application purposes, but official transcripts are required for matriculation purposes. Request official test results within the ADEA PASS application. Utilize the 'ADEA Transcript Matching form' to ensure submitted transcripts are official. Do not send official scores or documents to Boston University unless requested.

        After we receive your ADEA PASS application, Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine Postdoctoral Admissions will email you instructions for payment of the non-refundable $75 supplemental application fee and Boston University identification number provisioning. Applicants may apply to more than one Boston University postdoctoral program, but are asked to submit only one Boston University supplemental application fee per admission cycle.

        Additional Information: 

        DDS or DMD degree or international equivalent required. For applicants who are currently enrolled in the predoctoral program, the dental degree must be awarded before matriculation into a postdoctoral program.

        The Institutional Evaluation and three Professional Evaluations are required. A CV/Resume is required.

        U.S./Canadian-Educated applicants must show successful passage of the National Board Dental Examination (NBDE) Part 1 AND Part 2, OR show completion of the INDBE. Request official test results directly within the ADEA PASS application.

        International applicants are not required to show successful passage of the National Board Dental Examination (NBDE) Part 1 AND Part 2, NOR the INBDE.

        Additional Information: 

        The TOEFL is required of all applicants whose first language is not English. If your dental degree is from a dental school whose curriculum, including textbooks, was conducted in a language other than English, then you must include proof of a minimum passing score on the TOEFL.

        TOEFL minimums are 90 iBT or 550 PBT. TOEFL iBT Home Edition scores are accepted, but TOEFL Essentials scores will not be accepted. Request official TOEFL results from ETS directly in the ADEA PASS application. IELTS scores are not accepted for admissions purposes.

        ECE/WES evaluations required of all foreign transcripts. Submit official ECE/WES results directly to ADEA, per instructions within the ADEA PASS application. The ECE/WES should specify that your dental degree has been awarded. If the ECE/WES evaluation does not specifically state that your dental degree has been awarded, upload a scanned copy of your dental school diploma (notarization not required).
